Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage engineering and site execution activities for Marine System projects. Each day, you will oversee project engineering deliverables and site operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project objectives. You will also demonstrate your ability by coordinating with stakeholders, managing site activities, and ensuring on-time project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

This role is contributing to the Automation – Marine & ports division in-Bangalore-Peenya India region. Main stakeholders include Customers & Shipowners, Shipyards, Marine Classification Societies, Suppliers & Vendors, and Internal Engineering, Project Management, Procurement & Commissioning Teams.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Oversee engineering, design, and execution of Marine & Ports electrical projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, schedule, and contractual requirements.
Design and integrate marine electrical and automation systems, including VFDs, MV/LV power systems, EMS/PMS, and protection & control solutions.
Manage technical coordination with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and classification societies to ensure approvals and project compliance.
Execute detailed engineering, equipment selection, technical specifications, and vendor document reviews for marine electrical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project delivery, commissioning, risk management, and customer satisfaction while maintaining HSE and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications for the Role
10–15 years of experience in Marine, Power, or Industrial Electrical Systems engineering and project execution.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, Instrumentation & Control, or related discipline.
Extensive experience in VFDs, Automation & Control Systems, PMS/EMS, and MV/LV Electrical Distribution.
Direct experience in protection, control, monitoring systems, equipment selection, and engineering reviews.
Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with willingness to travel globally (~20%) for project execution and commissioning support.
