Position Overview
- Role: Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician
- Location: Ratnagiri, Maharashtra (Field & Workshop)
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Experience Required: 0 to 5 years in diesel engine / DG set maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine servicing, troubleshooting, major overhauling, and breakdown repairs of Kirloskar diesel engines and industrial generator sets (DG sets).
- Diagnostics: Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using standard tools and diagnostic procedures to minimize equipment downtime.
- Field Service: Travel to client sites across the Ratnagiri region to provide on-site technical assistance and emergency support.
- Genuine Parts Installation: Ensure only genuine Kirloskar spare parts are utilized during repairs, adhering strictly to company and OEM guidelines.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all industrial safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), maintaining a clean workspace, and following safe handling protocols on-site.
- Reporting: Complete service reports, job cards, and customer acknowledgment forms accurately after completing every service call.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Diesel Mechanic trade.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of internal combustion (IC) engines, fuel injection systems, governors, and turbochargers. Familiarity with alternator functionality is a major plus.
- Experience: Proven experience working with industrial diesel engines (experience specifically with Kirloskar engines is highly preferred).
- Soft Skills: Good customer communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Logistics: Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and be willing to travel locally within the designated territory.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
