Role Overview:
The Investment Counsellor will be responsible for engaging partners and clients on alternate investment opportunities such as AIFs, PMS, private equity, venture capital, structured products, and other non-traditional asset classes. The role involves partner as well as client engagement, portfolio advisory, product positioning, and driving allocations into alternate assets in line with client goals and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory
Engage with partner to understand their alternate product requirements.
Recommend suitable alternate investment strategies and products
Provide ongoing portfolio reviews and advisory support
Product Expertise
Develop deep understanding of AIFs (Category I, II, III), PMS, PE/VC funds.
Evaluate fund performance, strategy, risk metrics, and market positioning
Stay updated on regulatory developments (SEBI, tax implications, etc.)
Sales & Business Development
Drive Partner acquisition and AUM growth in alternate investments
Work closely with relationship managers and distribution partners
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product pitches
Market Insights
Track macro trends, market cycles, and opportunities in alternates.
Share insights with Partners/clients and internal teams
Position alternates within overall asset allocation frameworks
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with product teams, fund managers, and operations.
Support onboarding, documentation, and execution processes
