We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in core mainframe technologies to support development and design activities in a dynamic enterprise environment. The role requires strong analytical skills, domain exposure to Capital Markets or Investment Banking, and the ability to work effectively in a global team setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications across development projects
- Participate in application and process design activities
- Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of mainframe solutions
- Work closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes
- Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and best practices
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe concepts and technologies, including:
- COBOL
- PL/I (strong advantage)
- JCL
- DB2
- SQL
- CICS
- Hands-on experience in development projects
- Strong understanding of application and process design
- Domain knowledge in Capital Markets or Investment Banking (mandatory/preferred)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on coding experience in PL/I
- Exposure to modern development or integration practices
- Experience working in large, distributed enterprise systems
