READ THIS PART CAREFULLY — WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The single most important quality for this role is deep attention to detail — and here, that means an eye and an ear for VIDEO.
You will be the last line of quality on every video before it ships. That means catching:
- A jerky or unnatural movement in the visuals
- Audio that drifts out of sync with the video, or levels that feel off
- A subtitle with a grammar mistake, a wrong word, or timing that doesn't match the speech
- A voice that sounds wrong for the character, a scene that cuts awkwardly, a frame that looks broken
- A file named wrong, a step silently skipped, a task marked "done" that isn't
We can teach you the tools, the pipeline, and the workflow. We cannot teach you to notice. If you're the kind of person who spots the one flaw in a video everyone else scrolled past, this role will fit you. If you're not, no technical skill will compensate.
Because subtitles and scripts pass through your hands on every video, excellent English is required — you must catch language errors on sight, not just process text.
Technical background matters, but it is second. A detail-obsessed fresher with a sharp eye will beat a careless expert in this seat every time.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- End-to-end responsibility for video production — from raw materials to finished, publish-ready videos, across multiple languages
- Final quality check on every video: visuals, audio, sync, subtitles, pacing — nothing ships that you haven't verified
- Managing the video editor and coordinating their work with the rest of the production process
- Driving the build: coordinating the engineering team so the remaining pieces of the system (dashboards, workflows, integrations) actually get built, structured, and finished — not left half-done
- Task management: assigning work, following up relentlessly, clearing blockers, making sure nothing stalls silently
- Verification: confirming completed work against clear proof — never accepting "done" at face value
- The delivery workflow on GitHub — keeping issues and pull requests organized and moving (we will train you on this)
- Clear, concise written status reporting to the founder — accurate, specific, decision-ready
Company: ACIS Labs
Location: On-site — Chandigarh (this is an in-office role, not remote)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (6 days/week), with 1 hour flexible break
ABOUT US
ACIS Labs is building an intelligent, AI-driven video production system for global, multi-language YouTube content. We are in the build phase — core components exist, and the work now is bringing them together into a complete, structured production operation that reliably turns out high-quality video content at scale. Further details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
THE ROLE
This is a builder's role, not a caretaker's role. You will help take a system that exists in powerful pieces and drive it into a complete, disciplined production operation — and then own its output.
You will carry end-to-end responsibility for video production. AI systems do a lot of the heavy lifting, and a video editor (working under you) does the assembly — but whether every video actually comes out right is YOUR responsibility. You will coordinate the engineering work, drive the remaining pieces to get built and structured, manage the production process from raw material to finished video, and be the founder's eyes on every detail of the operation.
You are not expected to write code or make technical design decisions — the technical direction is set. You ARE expected to drive, build-coordinate, verify, and above all: notice everything.
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical field (recent graduates welcome — this is an entry-level-friendly role)
- Demonstrated deep attention to detail — in your application, your projects, anywhere. We will test for this.
- Excellent English — strong enough to catch grammar, word-choice, and phrasing errors in subtitles and scripts on sight
- A genuine eye for video and ear for audio — you notice when something looks or sounds even slightly wrong
- Enough technical literacy to read and reason about dashboards, file structures, and pull requests — you don't need to code, but you can't be lost in a technical conversation
- High ownership: you close every loop you open, without being reminded
- Comfortable holding others to a standard, including people more experienced than you
NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Familiarity with GitHub, Python projects, or AI tools
- Any video editing, video QC, or content production exposure
- Any coordination experience — college projects, clubs, events, internships
GROUND RULES
- On-site in Chandigarh, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
- Personal phones not allowed during work hours. You may only access your personal phones and devices during big break hours.
COMPENSATION
Competitive, discussed at interview based on profile. Monthly payment. You are joining at the build stage — strong performance here means growing into significant responsibility as the operation scales.
