Key Responsibilities
1. Land Development & Farm Planning
- Design and execute a comprehensive 62-acre land utilization strategy Plan orchard zones, vegetable clusters, irrigation grids, and landscape buffers
- Lead phased plantation rollout aligned with export and estate timelines
2. Organic Horticulture & Export Crop Management
- Identify region-suitable, high-value export crops (mango, guava, pomegranate, exotic vegetables)
- Develop crop calendars, productivity benchmarks, and yield improvement plans
- Implement structured harvesting and post-harvest protocols meeting international export standards
- Monitor soil health, crop performance, and residue-free quality compliance
3. Operations & Workforce Management
- Supervise farm labor, seasonal workers, and daily field operations
- Manage drip/sprinkler irrigation systems and water conservation practices
- Oversee composting, vermiculture, and organic bio-input production Implement organic integrated pest and disease management (IPM)
4. Agro-Tourism & Weekend Home Estate Alignment
- Develop plantation zones that double as curated visual landscapes for visiting families
- Support aesthetic orchard and green estate design for experiential guests
- Coordinate with management on farm-to-table caf crop planning and seasonal produce
5. Commercial & Performance Management
- Manage cultivation budgeting, cost tracking, and input optimization
- Track and report yield performance, crop quality, and export readiness metrics
- Recommend crop diversification to enhance estate revenue and export volumes
Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Horticulture preference for graduates from Navsari Agricultural University (SAU), Anand Agricultural University (AAU), or other Gujarat-based institutions
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in horticulture, organic farming, or agri-estate management
- Demonstrated experience independently managing 5–10+ acres
- Familiarity with export crop standards and phytosanitary compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of irrigation planning, soil health management, and pest control Preferred Background
- Prior exposure to fruit orchards or structured horticulture estates
- Knowledge of agro-tourism, farm stays, or experiential hospitality is a strong advantage
