Key Result Areas (KRAs) – Occupational Therapist1. Patient Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Use standardized tools and clinical judgment for accurate diagnosis
2. Treatment Planning & Implementation
- Design and implement therapy programs tailored to patient needs
- Use therapeutic activities to improve daily living and functional skills
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
3. Rehabilitation & Patient Care
- Assist patients in regaining independence in daily activities (ADLs)
- Provide rehabilitation for injuries, disabilities, or developmental delays
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Ensure compliance with medical and legal documentation standards
5. Patient & Family Education
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercises
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and lifestyle modifications
- Promote awareness about injury prevention and health management
6. Interdisciplinary Coordination
- Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in case discussions and treatment planning meetings
- Ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
7. Use of Therapeutic Equipment & Techniques
- Utilize appropriate tools, assistive devices, and therapy methods
- Train patients in the use of adaptive equipment
- Stay updated on new therapy techniques and technologies
8. Compliance & Quality Standards
- Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines
- Maintain hygiene and infection control standards
- Ensure quality care and patient satisfaction
9. Professional Development
- Attend workshops, training, and continuing education programs
- Stay updated with advancements in occupational therapy
