Job Summary:
As a System Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our organization's IT systems and networks. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
Perform routine system updates and patch management.
Monitor system performance and respond to issues promptly.
Network Administration:
Administer and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.
Implement and maintain network security measures.
User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations and peripherals.
Data Backup and Recovery:
Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
Execute data backups and perform data restoration as needed.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies and practices to protect against cyber threats.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, hardware, and software inventory.
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations.
Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to meet project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with network protocols, security practices, and hardware.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
