About the Role
Fuselage Innovations, a growing Agri-Tech startup, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Business Development Lead to support our expansion across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Punjab. The role will focus on developing business opportunities in agriculture, drone technology, and institutional sectors, building strong client relationships, and supporting customers in accessing relevant government subsidy and funding programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across agriculture, drone services, FPOs, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and institutions.
- Promote Fuselage Innovations’ drone solutions to farmers, agricultural organizations, institutions, and other potential customers.
- Support customers in understanding and accessing government schemes such as the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), drone promotion schemes, and other relevant agricultural funding programs.
- Assist clients with eligibility verification, documentation, applications, and follow-ups related to government schemes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government departments, agricultural institutions, FPOs, cooperatives, dealers, and other business partners.
- Organize and participate in product demonstrations, field visits, training programs, exhibitions, and agricultural awareness activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth execution of customer requirements, demonstrations, and projects.
- Maintain customer and business development records in CRM tools and submit regular reports.
- Guide junior team members and support the team in achieving business objectives.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, government schemes, and regional opportunities across the assigned states.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management; experience in Agri-Tech, drones, agriculture, or related sectors is preferred.
- Good understanding of agriculture markets, government schemes, subsidies, and agricultural funding processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned states.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with government departments, FPOs, cooperatives, agricultural institutions, or rural communities.
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery, drone technology, or farm mechanization.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple locations, and coordinate with different stakeholders.
- Good understanding of regional agricultural markets and local business networks.
