Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Project Coordinator to manage and coordinate SPM (Special Purpose Machine) projects from customer enquiry to project completion. The candidate will coordinate with customers, design, production, assembly, procurement, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and as per customer requirements. Project Coordinators typically manage schedules, documentation, communication, progress tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities between customers and internal departments.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate project details to design and production teams.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Follow up with design, procurement, manufacturing, and assembly teams for project progress.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates.
- Raise and track quotations, purchase requirements, and project-related documents.
- Conduct project review meetings and share MOM (Minutes of Meeting).
- Coordinate machine trials, inspections, and dispatch activities.
- Communicate project updates, delays, and risks to management and customers.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards. Project coordinators commonly act as the communication hub and track timelines, documentation, and project status.
Required Skills
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering concepts.
- Understanding of SPM Machines, Automation Projects, Fixtures & Jigs.
- MS Excel, MS Word, and Email Communication.
- Project tracking and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing or automation industry.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of BOM, production planning, and procurement processes.
