A Senior Sales Executive in the Paras plywood industry is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and nurturing key relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, and contractors. This role focuses on achieving both primary (direct sales) and secondary (dealer-to-consumer) sales targets, often within a specific territory.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sales Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets for plywood, block boards, and related products.
- Channel Development & Management: Appoint new dealers and distributors, while managing and supporting existing partners to enhance market reach.
- Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with key influencers, including architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, and carpenters.
- Market Coverage & Analysis: Conduct regular field visits (site combing) to identify new construction projects and monitor competitor activity, pricing, and demand trends.
- Negotiation & Closing: Handle price negotiations, finalize contracts, and facilitate the order-to-payment cycle.
- Reporting & CRM Usage: Provide daily reports on field activities, customer interactions, and market feedback using CRM software.
- Promotion Support: Implement local marketing activities, product launches, and brand awareness campaigns.
- Service Coordination: Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products by coordinating with the logistics and warehouse teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Individual secondary sales target achievement.
- Quantity and quality of new lead generation.
- Conversion ratio of inquiries into sales.
- Timely collection of payments and management of outstanding dues.
- Number of new dealers/distributors onboarded.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 4–10 years of experience in sales, preferably in plywood, laminates, building materials, or hardware products.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Networking: Proven ability to build relationships with dealers, contractors, and influencers.
- Communication: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively and a two-wheeler with a valid license.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of plywood grades, types, and their applications.
Preferred Competencies
- Proficiency in local languages.
- Familiarity with CRM software.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
