Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager – Retail Domain
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager to lead Agile delivery initiatives within the Retail domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, Agile expertise, stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business outcomes. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive execution, remove impediments, manage risks and foster collaboration across business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices and continuous improvement.
- Track and improve team velocity, sprint predictability and delivery metrics.
- Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth execution and delivery.
Technical Project Management
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.
- Coordinate across development, QA, architecture, product and business teams.
- Manage project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues and mitigation plans.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Retail Domain Expertise
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand retail processes and requirements.
- Translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with business, technology and leadership stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments and delivery insights.
- Facilitate decision-making and alignment across multiple teams and functions.
People Leadership
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Mentor team members and promote Agile best practices.
- Support resource planning, team development and performance management activities.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive process optimization and Agile maturity initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, delivery efficiency and quality.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management, Scrum Master or Agile Delivery roles.
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within Retail domain.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent).
- PMP, Prince2, SAFe, or Agile certification.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.
- Exposure to cloud-based and enterprise technology environments.
