Position Summary:
The Maintenance Programs Engineering Specialist creates and maintains the Airlines' Maintenance Programs and ensures the program adheres to all FAA and CFR requirements as outlined in the company GMM to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy. They provide the airline with safe, regulatory-compliant Maintenance Programs and related manuals. This individual is responsible for all Maintenance Program activity relating to Aircraft Airworthiness, including, but not limited to, effectivity and scheduling for required tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Create, manage, and maintain Maintenance Program requirements as directed. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement the Airlines’ Maintenance Programs to comply with FAA regulations, and ensure the airworthiness and safe operation of aircraft, engines, and components operated by the airline. Control, create, review, and implement all routine maintenance documents used to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Coordinate between Records, Planning, Engineering, and other departments to provide technical data in accordance with the policies of the FAA, aircraft and component manufacturers, and the airline.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely update of all maintenance-related technical data material to include maintenance manuals, IPCs, the supplements for each of these manuals, and the Airline’s maintenance program manual.
- Research the CPCP,SI, MPD,ADs, and previous operator's Maintenance Programs to ensure that all new acquisition aircraft meet FAA and company maintenance standards.
- Create bridging documents for aircraft acquisitions and returns and assist aircraft management department in developing the work scope to be performed to ensure the timely delivery of a safe reliable aircraft ready for revenue-generating flights or for re-delivery at the end of lease. Responsible for the development, implementation, and integration of the Time Controlled Index throughout the company. Identify improvements for the Maintenance Program. Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls when revising maintenance tasks. Promote safety within the department.
- As a working member of the group, the Engineering Specialist is expected to be an active participant of the daily activities to maintain all aircraft in the current fleet in an airworthy and compliant status.
- Follow approved, published procedures and advise on any needed improvements. Review new parts for effectivity and inclusion of required tasks, and create PN controls for proper tracking.
- Provide technical support for Planning, Engineering, and other departments as required; update PN controls, tasks, schedules, and effectivities in the tracking system (FMIS) as necessary.
- May conduct research and data collection to aid in the development of maintenance program manual revisions and new or revised tasks.
- Analyze and determine effectivities of all MPD, ALS, and MRBR required tasks.
- Work directly with Engineering, Planning, and other departments to ensure compliance and accomplishment of required tasks to maintain aircraft in an airworthy and compliant status.
- Interact with applicable departments to define, maintain, and optimize the CAMP.
- Ensure that specifications and FMIS setup exist for new inductions, to include updating task effectivities and part numbers for induction aircraft.
- Responsible for work priorities daily.
- Ensure company policy is followed and proper training is maintained to fulfill responsibilities.
- Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in Section 100.03 Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel, and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position.
- Perform computer and administrative functions as assigned by manager.
- Assist with creating upper management presentations for manual revisions.
- Modify and authorize Engineering Controls and task cards in FMIS.
- Process and publish Publications Change Requests (PCRs) to modify Maintenance documentation.
- Process and publish Task Card Change Requests (TCCRs) to modify Maintenance documentation.
- Assist to initiate revisions to company manuals (TCI V1, V2, and MX Programs SOP).
- All other duties as reasonably requested by the Manager
Authority:
Holds authority to modify items for which they are responsible through the appropriate revision processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Moderate level of technical writing skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Minimum required: Associates degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Aviation Technology, or a related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating may be accepted in lieu of degree, with equivalent experience.
- Be familiar with and have general understanding of Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), Airworthiness Limitation Sections (ALS), Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), Time Controlled Index (TCI), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), IPCs, CMMs, Intervals, Heavy Checks, AIRBUS Family Aircraft, and MSG-3.
- Must have excellent communication skills, and at least moderate computer and technical writing skills

- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required by management for in-service issue resolution and project completion.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 10hours per day.
- Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical equations.
- Able and willing to travel in or to the USA as required.

Pay: From ₹40,085.14 per month
