Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with prior experience in wholesale trading environments—preferably in the textile or fabric industry. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate party ledgers, handle GST compliance and E-way bills, and manage cash and credit flows in a fast-paced market setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Accounting Operations
- Maintain day-to-day accounts using Tally Prime / ERP.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain inventory records, including fabric rolls, meter entries, and stock reconciliation.
- Party Ledger & Payment Management
- Maintain and reconcile buyer and supplier ledgers on a regular basis.
- Track outstanding receivables and coordinate timely payment recoveries.
- Handle cash book entries, bank transactions, and weekly bank reconciliations.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Generate E-way bills and GST-compliant tax invoices for local and interstate shipments.
- Prepare data and reconcile input/output tax credits for monthly GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings.
- Ensure compliance with TDS and other relevant tax regulations.
- Reporting & Auditing Support
- Prepare monthly trial balances, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Assist external CAs and auditors during financial year-end audits and tax filings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, specifically within wholesale trading, textile markets, or commercial trading firms.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP 9 and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Compliance Knowledge: Practical knowledge of GST rules, E-way bill portal operations, and e-invoicing.
- Language & Communication: Proficient in Hindi and basic functional English.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience working in wholesale markets such as Gandhi Nagar, Chandni Chowk, or Shahdara.
- Familiarity with fabric unit measurements (rolls, meters, weight) and logistics documentation.
