Job Summary
The ITI Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and assembly of mechanical equipment and machinery. The role involves ensuring smooth plant operations by carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, assembly, and fitting of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Inspect machines and identify mechanical faults or abnormalities.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical parts such as bearings, belts, couplings, seals, and gears.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical layouts, and maintenance manuals.
- Perform alignment, leveling, and fitting of machinery and equipment.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and testing.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance schedules.
- Record maintenance activities and report equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Support production teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Participate in 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualification
- ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical fitting practices.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic welding and gas-cutting knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Knowledge

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹9,014.94 - ₹20,000.00 per month
