The Reporting Analyst / Data Analyst is responsible for translating business questions into analytical outputs, building and maintaining reports, and ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and actionable data. Sitting within a team that already delivers BI solutions across the organisation, this role focuses on Snowflake-based analytics, data model stewardship, and access governance. The successful candidate will work closely with data engineers and existing BI developers to bridge the gap between raw data and business insight, while taking ownership of Snowflake RBAC and reporting quality.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise reports and dashboards using Tableau and Analytics Workbench.
- Write complex SQL queries against Snowflake to extract, analyse, and validate data for reporting purposes
- Work with existing Snowflake data models to understand data lineage, relationships, and business logic, including models migrated from Oracle and PostgreSQL sources
- Contribute to the design and refinement of data models in collaboration with data engineers
- Manage and support Snowflake role-based access control (RBAC), including role hierarchies, grants, user provisioning, and access policies
- Define and document data access policies, ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making across operational and strategic domains
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate needs into analytical deliverables
- Validate data accuracy by reconciling reports against source systems and flagging discrepancies
- Support training and enablement of end users on BI tools and self-service analytics capabilities
- Maintain documentation for reports, data definitions, RBAC configurations, and reporting frameworks
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analysing data in Snowflake
- Experience working with python to deliver analysis and code driven BI solutions
- Solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and stages
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake RBAC: roles, privileges, grants, role hierarchies, and access policies
- Experience building reports and dashboards using BI platforms
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling concepts (star schema, dimensions, facts, slowly changing dimensions)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with version control (Git) for managing analytical code and configurations
- 2–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Reporting Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake, including data extraction, analysis, validation, and reporting.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports, with a strong focus on data visualization and user experience.
- Experience working with Python for data analysis, automation, or code-driven BI solutions.
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, including dimensional modelling, star schemas, facts, dimensions, and data lineage.
- Experience managing or supporting Snowflake RBAC, including user access, roles, privileges, grants, and data governance requirements.
- Ability to gather business requirements, define KPIs, and translate stakeholder needs into actionable reporting and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality, accuracy, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with operational data from Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Blue Yonder, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical users and support self-service analytics adoption.
