Job Description: Procurement & Inventory Manager (Medicines & Packaging)
- We are seeking a Procurement & Inventory Manager with 2 to 4 years of experience to oversee stock supply, quality audits, vendor relations, and packaging development for our expanding chain of Ayurvedic clinics.
Role Overview

Experience Required: 2 to 4 years in procurement, inventory control, or supply chain (Ayurvedic, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or retail background preferred)

Core Responsibilities- Inventory, Stock Management & Audits
- Monitor inventory levels across all clinic branches daily.
- Trigger medicine orders immediately based on set threshold limits.
- Ensure zero stock-outs across all clinics for every medicine SKU.
- Manage stock distribution dynamically to balance inventory between locations.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy and minimize variances
Inward, Outward & Quality Control
- Oversee strict inward and outward stock movements to ensure complete traceability.
- Inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and specifications.
- Reject and return unacceptable, damaged, or sub-standard materials immediately.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Build and maintain relationships with Ayurvedic medicine manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize margins.
- Review vendor performance on delivery speed, quality, and accuracy regularly.
Demand Forecasting & Growth Planning
- Analyze historical sales data to forecast future medicine requirements.
- Adjust inventory projections to support a rapidly increasing number of clinics.
- Prevent overstocking and reduce waste from expired products.
Packaging Procurement & Development
- Source reliable vendors for primary and secondary packaging materials.
- Develop packaging solutions for new product concepts and formulations.
- Ensure packaging materials maintain medicine quality and meet regulatory norms.
- Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in inventory management software (ERP, SAP, or custom retail tools).
- Strong negotiation capabilities with a proven track record of cost optimization.
- Sharp eye for quality control to identify unacceptable material.
- Excellent data analysis skills for forecasting and demand planning.
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate between clinic heads and external vendors.
Qualifications-
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Packaging Technology, Materials Management, or Business Administration (BBA/B.Com).
- Certifications: Professional certifications in Procurement, Packaging Development (e.g., IIP), or Supply Chain Logistics are highly desirable.
