What would you do? The Instructional Design and Social Learning/Learning Communications Specialist provides day-to-day direction for multiple learning development efforts, leading the design and delivery of high-quality performance-based training solutions while integrating social learning, collaboration, and communications strategies to drive learner engagement and adoption. This role ensures that projects are executed according to process, quality, budget, and milestone standards, while guiding a team of learning professionals to create effective learning experiences for global audiences. The role also supports learning campaign planning, stakeholder communications, content promotion, and measurement to extend the impact of instructional solutions beyond formal training. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop instructional materials. • Design and implement instructional strategies, curricula, and learning materials that align to business needs. • Develop and maintain e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other learning resources. • Demonstrated knowledge of innovative learning tools and products, ensuring the use of the latest technologies to Deliver instructional information for an audience based on learning activities approaches to help an organization achieve their learning goals.
What are we looking for? Education: • BA/BS - Prefer degree in Instructional Design, Cognitive Psychology, English, Technical Writing, Communications, related field or equivalent experience Work Experience: • Minimum 8 years of working experience in instructional design-development of learning assets with some experience in communications, including internal and corporate communications, learning communications, social media campaigns • Experience in managing a team of 2-3 people • Basic project management experience Required o Strong written communication skills including: ? Working knowledge of editorial requirements ? Language and Grammar ? Attention to detail to ensure quality o Strong oral communication skills ? Ability to facilitate client SMEs and sponsor discussions to set expectations and ensure appropriate involvement. o Working knowledge of instructional design fundamentals, including adult learning principles, learning objectives, content flow and learner engagement techniques. o Experience with developing communications and social media campaigns for global audience; adjusting materials based on cultural needs, regional constraints and localization or translation considerations o Ability to influence and drive initiatives across a large team o Experience in dealing with challenging/multiple stakeholders o Manage content execution across multiple time zones/geographies o Strong negotiation skills o Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential topics o Ability to shape or review learning content and support materials to ensure they are clear, audience-appropriate and aligned to learning outcomes. o Change adoption – apply knowledge, tools and resources to accelerate adoption and driving a behavior change.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Lead the instructional design of learning solutions from analysis through design, development, testing and implementation. • Create conceptual and detailed learning designs grounded in adult learning theory, performance consulting, and business requirements. • Guide the development of blended learning solutions, including digital, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and performance support assets. • Integrate communications and collaboration strategies into learning programs to reinforce application, knowledge sharing, and sustained engagement. • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define solution requirements, shape content strategy, and ensure alignment to learner and business needs. • Support learning communications and campaign planning, including message development, content promotion, learner outreach, and adoption-focused engagement activities. • Oversee quality, scope, timelines, and risk management across multiple learning projects and workstreams. • Collaborate with media, technology, and delivery teams to produce effective, learner-centered collateral and experiences. • Monitor learner engagement and program effectiveness, and contribute to progress reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement. • Coach and manage team members, providing guidance on quality standards, processes, and professional development.
