About the Role
We are looking for a high‑caliber FP&A professional to serve as the Sales Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the finance team. This role will own end‑to‑end Sales reporting, planning, forecasting, and financial modeling, and act as the single conduit for all Sales-related FP&A activities.
The incumbent will closely partner with Sales, Ops Analysts, L2C, Commercial, Revenue, and Business teams to deliver accurate Sales reporting, forward-looking insights, scenario analysis, decision support, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end Sales MIS, dashboards and performance reporting, ensuring high accuracy and timely delivery.
- Act as the single point of ownership for all Sales reporting and analytics within FP&A, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Analyze key Sales KPIs, revenue drivers, pipeline metrics, and conversion trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Deliver monthly variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, supported by clear, insightful business commentary.
- Assist in development and consolidation of Annual budgets, Quarterly forecasts, and Long-Range Plans (LRP).
- Perform scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and what‑if simulations to support decision-making.
- Support the monthly close process from a Sales FP&A perspective, ensuring alignment across Revenue, Delivery, O2C, and accounting teams.
- Play an active role in ERP / EPM tool implementation or enhancement, acting as the Sales FP&A representative for requirements, UAT, and adoption.
- Drive automation, standardization, and process improvements in Sales reporting and planning frameworks.
- Prepare high-quality executive and board-level presentations, synthesizing complex data into clear narratives.
- Support senior leadership with ad‑hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, and deep dives to enable informed decision-making.
What We Are Looking For
- CA and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.
- 6–8 years of progressive FP&A experience, with strong exposure to Sales/Commercial finance and services-based business models.
- Proven experience in sales planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics, revenue drivers, pipeline mechanics, and commercial constructs.
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivots, modelling, dashboards) and strong PowerPoint capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/financial systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Exposure to reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent analytical rigor combined with practical, solution-oriented thinking.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
