We are an AI startup building automated copy checking for schools. Our software is already being used by 12 schools, and we're now developing a hardware system that can automatically feed answer sheets, capture images, and integrate with our AI platform.
We're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys designing and building real-world automation systems from scratch.
What You'll Do
- Design and build an automated paper and copies handling system.
- Develop mechanical assemblies using CAD (Onshape/SolidWorks/Fusion 360).
- Work with Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, motors, sensors, and cameras.
- Integrate hardware with our AI software.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on hardware designs.
- Collaborate closely with the founders to build our first production-ready machine.
Requirements
- Experience with mechanical design (Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Knowledge of Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, or embedded systems.
- Experience with stepper/servo motors, motor drivers, and sensors.
- Basic electronics and hardware debugging skills.
- Python and/or C/C++ programming.
- Passion for building hardware prototypes.
Bonus Skills
- OpenCV or camera integration.
- 3D printing, CNC, or laser cutting.
- PCB design.
- Robotics competition, Formula Student, Robocon, or personal hardware projects.
Who Should Apply
We're more interested in what you've built than your years of experience. Whether you're a recent graduate with impressive projects or an experienced engineer, we'd love to hear from you.
Please include links to your GitHub, portfolio, or photos/videos of hardware projects if available.
