Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end mould manufacturing projects from customer order receipt to final mould trials, approvals, and dispatch. The role requires strong coordination with Design, Production, CNC, Quality, Purchase, Vendors, and Customers to ensure projects are delivered within committed timelines, quality standards, and budget.
The candidate should possess sound knowledge of mould manufacturing processes and tooling concepts to effectively review project progress and resolve technical challenges. However, the role does not require hands-on mould design activities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead complete mould manufacturing projects from kick-off to customer acceptance.
- Prepare project schedules, milestones, and delivery plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct project review meetings and drive action closure.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Customer Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution.
- Participate in technical discussions and project review meetings.
- Manage customer expectations regarding timelines, changes, and deliverables.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, CNC Machining, Assembly, Quality, Purchase, and Production departments.
- Ensure timely release of drawings and manufacturing information.
- Track critical path activities and remove execution bottlenecks.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to meet project objectives.
Mould Manufacturing Management
- Monitor machining, EDM, fitting, assembly, trials, and validation activities.
- Review mould manufacturing status against project timelines.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and quality requirements.
- Support troubleshooting during mould trials and customer sampling.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with vendors for outsourced machining, heat treatment, coating, standard parts, and other subcontracted operations.
- Monitor vendor delivery performance and quality.
- Develop alternate vendors to improve project execution.
Cost & Resource Control
- Track project budgets and manufacturing costs.
- Monitor resource utilization and machine loading.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Control project-related expenditures.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Tool Room and Project Management functions.
Team Leadership
- Lead project teams and coordinate departmental activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and project coordinators.
- Ensure effective communication among all stakeholders.
- Monitor team performance against project goals.

Experience
- Diploma / BE Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–12 years experience in Tool Room / Mould Manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years experience managing mould manufacturing projects.
- Experience handling customer-facing projects independently.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
