Position Overview
We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our Engineering Department. The selected candidate will assist in preparing detailed manufacturing and engineering drawings, creating component drawings from physical samples, and supporting design documentation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.
- Create manufacturing drawings, part drawings, and assembly drawings as per engineering requirements.
- Measure components accurately using Vernier Calipers and other measuring instruments to develop technical drawings.
- Convert existing physical components into detailed engineering drawings.
- Update drawings based on design changes and production requirements.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Support product development and documentation activities as required.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D design software.
- Understanding of engineering drawing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T concepts.
- Ability to use Vernier Calipers for accurate component measurement.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
