About the Role
The Business Development Executive– Tendering & Business Development role involves handling tenders, preparing proposals, coordinating with clients and government departments, and supporting business development activities.
This role is suitable for someone who is confident, organised, willing to learn, comfortable interacting with clients, and able to handle multiple tasks responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for engineering and management consulting services in India and international markets.
- Generate business leads through LinkedIn, company databases, online portals, industry networks, conferences, exhibitions, email campaigns, cold calling, and referrals.
- Track consultancy opportunities published by Central Government, State Government departments, PSUs, Multilateral Funding Agencies (World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, European Investment Bank, KfW, GIZ, JICA, etc.), and private sector clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with government departments, utilities, renewable energy developers, EPC contractors, engineering firms, investors, consultants, and international agencies.
- Coordinate with international partners for joint ventures, consortium formation, and strategic collaborations.
- Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate consulting solutions.
- Arrange and participate in client meetings, presentations, technical discussions, and proposal presentations.
- Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Technical Proposals, Business Proposals, Capability Statements, Presentations, and Consultancy Agreements.
- Coordinate internally with technical experts for preparation of bid documents and proposals.
- Maintain an updated database of prospective clients, consultants, funding agencies, and partners.
- Manage CRM, sales pipeline, follow-up schedules, and proposal status.
- Monitor market trends, renewable energy policies, infrastructure developments, and upcoming consultancy opportunities.
- Support digital marketing initiatives including LinkedIn, website content, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets.
