Job Summary
The Road Tester is responsible for conducting pre-service and post-service road tests to identify vehicle issues, verify repairs, and ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct road tests to identify customer-reported concerns and vehicle performance issues.
- Diagnose abnormal noises, vibrations, steering, suspension, braking, transmission, and engine-related problems during test drives.
- Verify the effectiveness of repairs by performing post-service road tests.
- Record and communicate findings clearly to Service Advisors and Technicians.
- Ensure all repaired vehicles meet manufacturer and company quality standards.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during test drives.
- Assist technicians in reproducing intermittent faults when required.
- Maintain accurate test reports and vehicle inspection records.
- Report any additional repair requirements identified during road testing.
- Ensure customer vehicles are handled safely and professionally.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Valid LMV Driving License (mandatory).
- Good knowledge of automobile systems and vehicle diagnostics.
- Ability to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Road Tester, Technician, or in an Automobile Service Center.
- Experience with Ford or other passenger vehicle dealerships is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
