1. Role Objective
To manage and control dispatch operations for toy products, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of finished goods while maintaining proper documentation, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company procedures.
2. Key Responsibilities
Dispatch & Logistics Operations
- Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules as per sales and production plans.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and loading of toy products.
- Coordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placement and dispatch.
- Monitor on-time deliveries and resolve dispatch-related issues.
Inventory & Documentation Control
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and stock movement entries.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents including invoice, challan, E-way bill, and packing list.
- Coordinate with accounts for billing and GST-related documentation.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices in dispatch operations.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure dispatched goods meet quality standards and packaging norms for toys.
- Verify quantity, product codes, and packaging before dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with safety, handling, and transport guidelines.
Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise dispatch staff, loaders, and helpers.
- Allocate daily work and ensure discipline and productivity.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, QC, and Sales teams for smooth operations.
Transport & Cost Control
- Negotiate and coordinate with transporters for optimal freight cost.
- Track dispatch costs and suggest cost-optimization measures.
- Handle returns, shortages, and damage cases.
Reporting & Records
- Maintain daily dispatch MIS and vehicle movement reports.
- Track pending deliveries and follow up for PODs.
- Report dispatch performance and issues to management.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of dispatch, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of GST, E-way bill, and dispatch documentation.
- Experience in handling high-volume dispatch in manufacturing setup.
- Good coordination, communication, and people-management skills.
- Basic computer skills (ERP / Excel).
4. Additional Requirements
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, and warehouse operations manufacturing industry preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple dispatches and tight timelines.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak dispatch periods.
- Physically fit and capable of shop-floor coordination.
