- Set Up: Load raw materials, align parts, and install drills or fixtures into the machinery.
- Operation: Start test runs, run production cycles, and adjust cutting speeds or feed rates.
- Quality Control: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect finished parts against blueprints.
- Maintenance: Clean machines, replace worn tooling, and top off cutting fluids or lubricants.
- Documentation: Record production counts, log material defects, and note tool wear patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or mechanical trade certification.
- Solid understanding of basic math, geometry, and technical blueprints.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg).
- Strong attention to safety protocols and protective gear requirements.
Role Variations
- CNC Operator: Focuses on loading material, running existing programs, and inspecting parts.
