Senior AccountantJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, budgeting, and ERP systems, preferably with experience in engineering, mechanical design, or IT industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable regulations.
- Handle payroll accounting and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Monitor project costing and profitability for engineering and IT projects.
- Ensure timely invoicing and collection from customers.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
- Prepare MIS reports and present financial data to management.
- Support management in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Work with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com).
- CA Inter, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in Mechanical Design, Engineering Services, IT Services, or Software companies is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
