Site Engineer – Fire & Alarm Systems
Detection Instruments (India) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Site Engineer – Fire & Alarm Systems to join our project team at Kota, Rajasthan.
We are seeking a technically skilled and responsible engineering professional with 1–3 years of relevant experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting project execution at site, coordinating with customers and site teams, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely completion of assigned project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems at project sites.
- Carry out system inspection, troubleshooting, fault identification, and rectification.
- Ensure project activities are executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Coordinate with site manpower, contractors, vendors, and other agencies for smooth project execution.
- Plan and coordinate the availability of required materials, tools, and resources at site.
- Monitor daily site activities and project progress.
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and other required site reports.
- Coordinate with Head Office and internal departments such as Projects, Sales, Procurement, and Service.
- Interact professionally with customers, end-users, consultants, and site officials.
- Identify and report technical or site-related issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Ensure proper implementation of site safety procedures and company safety standards.
- Maintain site records, checklists, testing reports, commissioning documents, and handover documentation.
- Support final testing, commissioning, customer demonstrations, and project handover activities.
- Travel and stay at project locations as required for project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering preferred.
- B.Sc. Electronics / Instrumentation candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Fire Alarm / Fire Detection System projects.
- Practical experience in Installation, Commissioning, Servicing, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting of Fire Alarm Systems.
- Knowledge of Smoke, Fire & Flame Detection Systems will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of electrical/electronic systems and project site execution.
- Ability to independently identify and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Good coordination, communication, and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
- Hindi and English communication skills preferred.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.
