Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with strong exposure to Outdoor Electrification Projects, including Utility Shifting, Substations, Street Lighting, Façade Lighting, Infrastructure Electrification, Smart City, NHAI, PWD, Railway and other Government Department Projects.
The candidate shall be responsible for project planning, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, AutoCAD drawings, client billing, project monitoring, documentation, and coordination with site execution teams to ensure timely completion and profitability of projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and execution plans.
- Monitor project progress against planned targets and identify delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
- Develop recovery plans and resource deployment strategies wherever required.
Quantity Estimation & BOQ Management
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and site surveys.
- Develop and verify BOQs for tendering and execution purposes.
- Reconcile estimated, executed, and billed quantities.
- Prepare material requirement plans and quantity variance reports.
- Identify and document extra items, deviation quantities, and variation claims.
AutoCAD & Technical Documentation
- Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Maintain drawing revision records and approval status.
- Coordinate with consultants and clients for drawing approvals and modifications.
- Ensure project documentation is maintained as per contractual requirements.
Billing & Contract Management
- Preparation and submission of RA Bills, Final Bills, and Quantity Statements.
- Verification of executed quantities and measurement records.
- Preparation of client billing documents and supporting reports.
- Certification and verification of subcontractor bills.
- Follow-up with clients for bill approvals and payment releases.
- Preparation of claims related to extra items, extensions of time (EOT), and variation orders.
Site Survey & Coordination
- Conduct site surveys and quantity verification.
- Coordinate with site execution teams for progress tracking and quantity measurement.
- Resolve site-related technical and planning issues.
- Assist project teams in obtaining approvals and clearances from concerned authorities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Project Planning, Scheduling, and Monitoring.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing interpretation.
- Expertise in Quantity Estimation, BOQ Preparation, and Project Billing.
- Sound understanding of Government Contracts, Tender Conditions, and Measurement Standards.
- Excellent command over MS Excel, project tracking sheets, and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

- Maintenance of complete project documentation and records.
- Improved billing realization and cash flow management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A seasoned professional with 10–15 years of experience in Government Electrical Infrastructure Projects, capable of independently handling Planning, AutoCAD Drawings, Quantity Estimation, BOQ Preparation, Client Billing, Quantity Reconciliation, Project Documentation, and Progress Monitoring from project award till final closure. The candidate should possess a practical understanding of site execution and be able to effectively coordinate between management, clients, consultants, and execution teams.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
