Job Title : Finishing Engineer - Villa projects
Experience : 5-8 years
Location : Karjat, Chowk
Education : Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Salary : 45000 - 60,000 per month
Job Summary
The Finishing Engineer will be responsible for managing all interior and exterior finishes of the villa(s), ensuring that tiling, painting, flooring, joinery, and MEP fixtures meet high-quality standards. You will bridge the gap between architectural vision and on-site execution, leading a team of subcontractors to deliver luxurious, snag-free homes within budget and designated timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise all architectural finishing activities including block work, plastering, waterproofing, false ceiling, painting, flooring (tiles, marble, wooden), and joinery.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Conduct routine inspections to ensure works are strictly executed according to approved architectural drawings, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and specifications.
- Snagging & Handover: Systematically identify defects or snags throughout the finishing process and ensure timely rectification before the final client handover.
- Schedule & Progress Tracking: Prepare and execute daily and weekly target schedules, ensuring tradesmen adhere to the master project baseline.
- Material Management: Oversee material take-offs, manage inventory, and supervise the proper usage and wastage control of premium finishing materials (e.g., granites, CP faucets, wood).
- Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal MEP teams to ensure seamless work transitions and eliminate project bottlenecks.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed Daily Inspection Reports (DIR) and update management on progress and potential delays.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict site safety regulations and PPE compliance across all finishing trades.
