We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide technical support for hardware, software, network, systems and IT infrastructure across the manufacturing plant and office. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted IT operations for employees and production-related systems.
Provide first-level and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business applications.
Handle hardware breakdowns, replacement and preventive maintenance.
Support users with system, software and application-related issues.
Maintain proper records of IT assets and equipment.
Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers and internet connectivity issues.
Monitor network connectivity across office and manufacturing areas.
Support network cabling, patching and basic network configuration.
Coordinate with internet/network service providers for connectivity-related issues.
Create and manage user accounts, access rights and permissions as authorized.
Provide support for MS Office, Outlook/email, Teams and other business applications.
Support ERP/MIS and other internal applications used by departments.
Troubleshoot login, access and application issues.
Provide IT support to Production, Engineering, Quality, SCM, Stores, HR and other departments.
Ensure availability of IT systems required for production and shop-floor operations.
Support computers, barcode/label printers, network devices and other IT equipment used in manufacturing areas.
Coordinate with Engineering/Production teams for IT-related issues affecting operations.
Ensure antivirus, system updates and basic endpoint security are maintained.
Follow company policies related to data security, password management and access control.
Support backup activities and ensure important data is properly protected.
Escalate suspected security incidents to the concerned IT authority.
Maintain updated records of IT assets, hardware, software licenses and user allocation.
Track IT complaints and ensure timely closure of support tickets.
Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, network devices and software.
Coordinate with external vendors for AMC, repairs and technical support.
B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc. – Computer Science / IT or equivalent
Good knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
Basic knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers and switches.
Good troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
Knowledge of computer hardware, printers and peripherals.
Basic understanding of IT security, antivirus and backup procedures.
Good communication and user-support skills.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to critical IT issues.
Experience in a manufacturing / engineering / electrical control panel manufacturing company will be preferred.
