Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, payroll verification, and maintaining strong internal financial controls. The role requires sound accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to support management with financial insights for business decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Verify and approve accounting entries prepared by junior accountants.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supervise vendor payments and customer collections.
- Verify purchase bills, invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up for collections.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation.
Banking & Cash Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and fund requirements.
- Process RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, and cheque payments.
- Coordinate with banks for financial transactions.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze income and expenditure trends.
- Prepare MIS reports and management reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost control and operational efficiency.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Verify payroll calculations and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate salary processing with HR.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, and other employee-related statutory obligations.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Monitor inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Verify depreciation calculations.
- Coordinate periodic physical verification of assets.
Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective measures.
- Support process improvements within the finance department.
Required Qualifications
- M.Com / B.Com with strong accounting knowledge.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in hospitality, convention centres, hotels, or large organizations is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Timely completion of month-end closing.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require extended working hours during month-end, year-end, audits, and statutory filing periods.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,578.37 per month
