Optometrist – Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
- Perform refraction tests and prescribe corrective lenses (spectacles and contact lenses).
- Diagnose common vision problems such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
- Assist in the detection of eye diseases and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
- Evaluate and fit contact lenses and provide proper usage instructions.
- Counsel patients on eye care, vision correction options, and preventive eye health practices.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
- Interpret vision test results and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist ophthalmologists during eye screenings and clinical procedures.
- Conduct vision screenings for schools, organizations, and community health programs.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of optical products and diagnostic supplies, if required.
- Stay updated with advancements in optometry and vision care.
Qualification
- B.Optom / M.Optom (Bachelor's or Master's in Optometry)
- Valid registration as per applicable regulations
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
