We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Vendor Manager to support vendor/resource
management for our Translation & Localization projects.
The role will primarily focus on vendor sourcing, onboarding, communication, database
management, and resource coordination. You will work closely with Senior Vendor Managers and
Project Managers to ensure the right language professionals are available for projects as and when
required.
This is a vendor/resource management role within the Translation & Localization industry. While
the role involves sourcing and evaluating candidates/vendors, it is not a traditional HR or internal
recruitment position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Sourcing & Recruitment
Source translators, proofreaders, editors, interpreters, and other language professionals
through different channels.
Reach out to potential vendors and understand their language skills, expertise, experience,
availability, and rates.
Screen vendors against project requirements.
Support the onboarding of suitable vendors into the company's vendor pool.
Maintain a strong pipeline of potential vendors for different languages and skill sets.
Follow up with vendors to complete required onboarding documentation and processes.
2. Vendor Communication & Coordination
Communicate with vendors regularly through email, phone, and other communication
platforms.
Share project requirements and confirm vendor availability.
Follow up with vendors regarding project acceptance, deadlines, and deliverables.
Respond to routine vendor queries and coordinate with senior team members when escalation
is required.
Maintain professional relationships with the vendor network.
3. Resource Allocation Support
Assist Senior Vendor Managers in identifying suitable vendors for projects.
Check vendor availability, language combination, expertise, rates, and turnaround time.
Contact suitable vendors and coordinate project acceptance.
Follow up to ensure assigned vendors meet project deadlines.
Support urgent resource requirements when required.

4. Vendor Database Management
Maintain and regularly update the vendor database.
Ensure vendor profiles contain accurate information regarding:
Languages and language combinations
Areas of expertise
Experience
Rates
Availability
Performance history
Contact information
Keep vendor records organized and up to date.
Prepare basic reports and MIS related to vendor activity when required.
5. Vendor Performance Support
Monitor basic vendor performance indicators such as responsiveness, turnaround time,
reliability, and quality feedback.
Record vendor performance and feedback accurately.
Identify recurring issues and report them to the Senior Vendor Manager.
Follow up with vendors regarding missing information, delays, or operational issues.
6. Internal Coordination
Work closely with Senior Vendor Managers and Project Managers to understand upcoming
resource requirements.
Communicate vendor availability and resource updates to the internal team.
Assist in handling last-minute or urgent vendor requirements.
Escalate critical vendor or delivery-related issues to the Senior Vendor Manager.
What We're Looking For
0–2 years of experience in Vendor Management, Recruitment/Sourcing, Operations,
Customer Coordination, Talent Acquisition, or a related field.
Freshers with strong communication and coordination skills may also be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with people through email and phone.
Good sourcing and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow deadlines.
Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and databases.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to learn about the Translation & Localization industry.
Comfortable working with international vendors and across different time zones.

What This Role Is NOT
This role should not be confused with traditional HR or internal recruitment.
You will not be recruiting employees for the company. Instead, you will be building and managing a
network of freelance translators, linguists, interpreters, proofreaders, editors, and other
localization professionals who can be engaged for client projects.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
