Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in International Business, Marketing, or Export Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in export sales and international business development, preferably in the industrial minerals, chemicals, ceramics, paints, construction materials, or manufacturing industry.
Job Summary
The Export Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for expanding the company's international business by identifying new markets, developing strategic customer relationships, and increasing export sales. The role involves managing the complete export sales cycle, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new international markets and business opportunities.
- Generate export sales through direct customers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas customers and key accounts.
- Develop and execute export business strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Handle the complete export sales cycle, including lead generation, quotations, negotiations, order confirmation, and after-sales support.
- Prepare export quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure timely execution of export orders.
- Manage export documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customer requirements.
- Monitor global market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify new business opportunities.
- Participate in international exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer meetings to promote the company's products.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international customers.
- Monitor customer payments and coordinate with the Finance department for timely collections.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and market intelligence for management review.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and prompt issue resolution.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of international sales, export procedures, and global trade practices.
- Familiarity with export documentation, Incoterms, international logistics, customs procedures, and Letter of Credit (LC) transactions.
- Excellent business development and key account management skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and CRM software.
- Ability to analyze international markets and develop growth strategies.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in exporting industrial minerals, kaolin, chemicals, ceramics, or related products.
- Established network of international customers, distributors, or trading companies will be an added advantage.
- Experience handling customers across the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, or other global markets is preferred.
