Production Engineer
Job Summary
Ecostan India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Production Engineer with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in machinery manufacturing. The candidate should have strong knowledge of machine assembly, fabrication, machining, and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and monitor daily production activities.
- Manage machine assembly and manufacturing processes as per production schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Quality, Stores, and Purchase teams.
- Monitor production targets, quality, manpower, and machine utilization.
- Handle and coordinate processes such as Plasma/Laser Cutting, Grinding, Lathe, VTL, CNC, VMC, etc.
- Ensure production is carried out as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores/Purchase.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and production downtime.
- Prepare and maintain daily production reports and MIS.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and production standards.
- Support continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge of machinery manufacturing and assembly.
- Practical knowledge of CNC, VMC, VTL, Lathe, Grinding, Plasma/Laser Cutting, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
- Strong problem-solving and team coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.
- 3–6 years of experience in a machinery manufacturing/engineering industry is mandatory.
- Candidates with strong hands-on shop-floor experience in machine assembly and machining processes will be preferred.
