Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, transportation, procurement coordination, and overall supply chain efficiency. The role ensures timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing operational costs.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Management
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
- Maintain warehouse safety standards and compliance with company policies.
- Supervise warehouse staff and allocate tasks effectively.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control procedures to reduce losses and wastage.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze stock movement.
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Work with suppliers, transporters, and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and production units.
- Optimize transportation costs and delivery performance.
- Track shipments and resolve logistics issues.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material planning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
- Support negotiations related to logistics and warehousing services.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse personnel.
- Monitor team productivity and performance.
- Develop staffing plans and work schedules.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and operational procedures.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Analyze KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, and delivery performance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Support ERP/WMS system implementation and optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–10+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and warehouse processes.
