Job Title: Lead Civil Design Engineer
Job Type: Full Time
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Civil Design Engineer to join our Engineering group in Noida. As the Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the engineering, design review, technical evaluation, and execution support for civil and structural systems in Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and related energy transition projects.
Role Summary:
The Lead Civil & Structural Engineer will be responsible for detailed engineering and coordination of foundations, structures, buildings, underground networks, and infrastructure associated with electrolyzer units, hydrogen compression & storage, ammonia synthesis loop, utility systems, and balance of plant (BoP) facilities. The position requires strong expertise in industrial structural design, equipment foundations, blast-resistant structures, and compliance with Indian and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review civil and structural design basis, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Review plot plans, GAs, and civil/structural layouts.
- Design and review foundations for static and rotating equipment including compressors and storage tanks.
- Design pipe racks, technological structures, platforms, and industrial buildings.
- Coordinate underground systems including storm water, effluent, and fire water networks.
- Evaluate dynamic loads, seismic loads, wind loads, and equipment vibration impacts.
- Ensure compliance with equipment anchor bolt and foundation load requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to OISD and industrial safety requirements.
- Incorporate blast load considerations and hazardous area requirements in design.
- Review vendor foundation loads and interface data for major equipment packages.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings with equipment vendors.
- Review and approve structural drawings and fabrication documents.
- Support procurement and inspection of structural steel materials.
- Provide engineering support during site execution.
- Review site queries, deviations, and field modifications.
- Coordinate with construction contractors for technical resolution.
- Support pre-commissioning and readiness activities.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, and E&I teams.
- Ensure proper interface management between foundations and equipment packages.
- Support HAZOP and design safety reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–12 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in Hydrogen / Ammonia / Refinery / Petrochemical / Fertilizer projects.
- EPC project exposure preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IS codes, ACI, AISC, and industrial design standards.
- Experience with STAAD.Pro / ETABS / SAFE or equivalent analysis tools.
- Foundation design for heavy rotating and high-pressure equipment.
- Experience in pipe rack and technological structure design.
- Understanding of geotechnical reports and soil-structure interaction.
