Job Description – Quality Assurance (Polymer Compounding)
Purpose of the Position: Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of polymer compounds during the production process. Ensures materials meet required specifications, tolerances, and applicable industry standards.

Areas of Responsibility
1. Quality Assurance (QA) – In-Process Control
Responsibility Level: Full | RACI: Responsible (R) Ensure consistency of in-process materials as per PSCS (Process Specifications and Control Standards) ; Maintain laboratory environment, records, and discipline; Execute and record daily 5S activities in the lab; Perform molding operations as required; Conduct in-process testing including;MFI (Melt Flow Index);Ash conten;Density;Hardness;Moisture;Color & visual inspection;Perform long-duration tests (e.g., oil aging, heat aging);Inspect extrusion profiles; Ensure compliance with ASTM / ISO standards;Conduct insert molding inspection and visual evaluation;Verify: Compounding Materials (CM) as per grade master list;Batch weighing accuracy and corrections;Process flow, Work Instructions (WI), and PSCS availability;Maintain retention samples with proper identification labels; Follow the in-process control plan for inspection frequency and methods;Ensure QA First Piece Approval within 45 minutes
2. Process Monitoring & Non-Conformance Handling
- Communicate effectively with production teams regarding quality issues
- Raise internal Non-Conformance (NC) via email
- If NC is observed:
- Raise NC immediately
- Hold material in HOLD area
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (Why-Why Analysis)
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action)
- Manage HOLD / Recall / Deviation as per SOP
3. Packaging and Labeling Inspection
- Inspect packaging as per compounding memo specifications
- Ensure bags are free from damage and contamination
- Verify:
- Label accuracy
- Barcodes
- Identification markings
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare daily shift-wise reports
- Maintain:
- Test records
- Inspection reports
- Counter samples
- Profile inspection records
- Support audit preparation (IATF, EHS, Customer audits)
5. Quality Management System
- Ensure all testing methods are validated as per standards
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 / EMS / OHSAS requirements
6. Instrument Calibration
- Ensure timely calibration of instruments via NABL-certified labs
- Maintain calibration records
- Handle out-of-calibration incidents
- Maintain visual standards and measurement accuracy
7. Production Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Address in-process quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Participate in:
- 5S initiatives
- Kaizen activities
- Continuous improvement programs

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹380,000.00 per year
