Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Production & Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving production efficiency, operational excellence, workforce productivity, quality compliance, inventory management, and overall factory performance.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the entire manufacturing unit while implementing systems, processes, and controls that improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of production targets.
Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Management:
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Optimize mould utilization and production scheduling.
- Allocate manpower and resources effectively to maximize productivity.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
i) Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end factory operations.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality Control, Dispatch, Maintenance, Accounts, and Sales teams.
- Manage workforce deployment, discipline, and performance.
- Plan shifts and ensure efficient manpower utilization.
- Drive operational efficiency and process standardization.
ii) Quality & Process Control
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications.
- Monitor product quality and reduce rejection rates.
- Minimize wastage through process improvements and operational controls.
- Maintain compliance with established manufacturing procedures.
iii) Dispatch & Inventory Management
- Plan and monitor dispatch activities to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage raw material inventory and procurement coordination.
- Monitor finished goods inventory and stock movement.
- Track material consumption and control operational losses.
iv) Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Prepare and review:
- Daily Production Reports
- Material Consumption Reports
- Labour Productivity Reports
- Machine Breakdown Reports
- Inventory & Stock Reports
- Weekly and Monthly Performance Reports
Required Qualifications & Experience
- MBA required in Operations Management, Production Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
- Preference will be given to candidates from Precast Concrete Industry, Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) Plants, Concrete Products Manufacturing, Construction Materials Industry, Heavy Manufacturing Industry
