Job Objective:To develop effective marketing strategies, acquire new customers, drive growth plans, and ensure better price realizations across our diverse specialty chemical product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and onboard new B2B customers across domestic and international markets.
- Strategy & Planning: Streamline and optimize existing sales and marketing strategies to drive business volume.
- Value & Performance Selling: Successfully sell products based on technical applications, performance, and specific customer requirements.
- Margin Optimization: Ensure better profit realization and premium positioning from existing and new accounts.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct detailed market research, competitor analysis, and identify future growth opportunities.
- Capacity Utilization: Drive higher sales volumes to ensure maximum utilization of our manufacturing plant capacities.
- Account & Forecast Management: Maintain highly accurate sales forecasts and product demand requirements for key accounts.
- Export Sales (Preferred): Manage and expand footprints in international export markets.
Ideal Candidate Profile:Education:
- B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering OR B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry.
Work Experience:
- 8–10 years of core experience in sales/marketing within a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Company (having an active manufacturing base in India).
- Chemical Trading Experience is Welcome: Candidates who have worked with established Chemical Trading Companies marketing specialty chemicals are also highly encouraged to apply.
Technical & Functional Competencies:
- Deep understanding of the specialty chemicals business environment and value chain.
- Hands-on experience selling to industries like Paints & Coatings, Agrochemicals, Textile, or Home & Personal Care.
- Proven track record of independently handling both Large and Mid-Sized corporate clients.
- International market exposure / knowledge of handling export customers will be a strong added advantage.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for forecasting and presentations. [1]
