About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with 4+ years of experience and a strong command of database design and optimization. You will take ownership of both frontend and backend development, with a particular focus on building efficient, scalable, and well-architected data layers using PostgreSQL.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications using React.js on the frontend
- Build robust, secure, and performant backend services using Node.js (Express/Fastify)
- Design, model, and optimize complex PostgreSQL database schemas for performance and scalability
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks (query tuning, indexing strategy, connection pooling)
- Architect data models that balance normalization, performance, and application needs
- Build and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs, ensuring clean integration between frontend and backend
- Conduct code reviews with a focus on code quality, security, and performance
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making
- Collaborate with product, design, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features
- Troubleshoot production issues, including database-level performance problems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional full stack development experience
- Strong proficiency in React.js (hooks, performance optimization, component architecture)
- Solid experience with Node.js for building backend APIs
- Very strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including:
- Advanced query writing and optimization
- Schema/data modeling for scalability
- Indexing strategies, query plans (EXPLAIN/ANALYZE)
- Transactions, locking, and concurrency handling
- Database performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of REST API design and integration
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Quick learner with attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with database migration tools (Knex, TypeORM, Prisma, Sequelize)
- Exposure to database replication, backups, and high-availability setups
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Understanding of caching strategies (Redis) for database load reduction
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
