Job Summary
Owns vulnerability remediation across IBM WebSphere Application Server. Version-sensitive patching with significant application-owner coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Execute WebSphere fix-pack and iFix application across the estate. Manage Network Deployment cells, clusters and HA configurations during patching. Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles. Align JDK upgrades and dependent middleware library patching. Maintain runbooks; feed Phase 2 automation candidates.
Skill Requirements
Deep WebSphere ND administration: cells, clusters, deployment manager, nodes. WebSphere fix-pack and iFix workflow. JVM tuning and JDK alignment. Hands-on wsadmin scripting.
Other Requirements
IBM Certified System Administrator — WebSphere. Experience with WebSphere Liberty. Scripting with Ansible or Jython.
