Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Hotel Contracting Executive to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for hotel sourcing, rate negotiation, contracting, supplier relationship management and maintaining a competitive hotel portfolio for our domestic and international travel business.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the travel trade and hotel industry, excellent negotiation skills, good destination knowledge and the ability to build strong relationships with hotels and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify suitable hotels across domestic and international destinations.
- Negotiate competitive hotel rates, contracts, promotions and special offers.
- Negotiate room rates, meal plans, supplements, child policies, cancellation terms, release periods, blackout dates, upgrades and value-added benefits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel Sales Managers, Revenue Managers, Contracting Teams and senior hotel representatives.
- Obtain, review and maintain updated hotel contracts and rate sheets.
- Ensure contracted rates, inclusions, validity dates and terms are accurately maintained.
- Regularly review hotel rates and negotiate improved commercial terms.
- Identify new hotels, luxury properties, boutique hotels and unique accommodation options suitable for our clientele.
- Compare hotel rates and commercial terms to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams for hotel requirements and customized travel packages.
- Resolve rate discrepancies and supplier-related issues promptly.
- Ensure timely renewal of hotel contracts and promotional agreements.
- Maintain accurate hotel contracting MIS and rate databases.
- Support the team in developing attractive and profitable destination packages.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Hotel Contracting, Travel Trade, DMC, Tour Operations, Product or Hotel Sales.
- Strong knowledge of hotel contracting and travel trade rates.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Good understanding of room categories, meal plans, supplements, cancellation policies and hotel commercial terms.
- Strong supplier relationship-management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple destinations and contracts simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with a focus on competitive rates and profitability.
Preferred
Experience with international hotel contracting and destination contracting will be an advantage.
Candidates having strong relationships with hotels and suppliers across Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Maldives, Mauritius, Australia, Japan or other international destinations will be preferred.
