Job Title: Electrician Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Engineering Supervisor / Chief Engineer
Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Inspect electrical systems to identify faults and safety hazards
- Perform preventive maintenance as per schedules
- Attend electrical breakdowns and emergencies promptly
- Maintain generators, UPS, panels, and lighting systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
- Maintain records of maintenance work and electrical logs
- Coordinate with engineering and other departments for repairs
- Ensure proper use of tools and safety equipment
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Valid electrician license (where required)
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
- On-call duty for emergencies
- Exposure to electrical hazards (with safety measures)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
