Operating Surgeon (Doctor performing surgery in the Operation Theatre)
To work as a surgeon in an Operation Theatre, the usual qualifications are:
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- Registration with the appropriate medical council.
- MS (Master of Surgery) in the relevant specialty (e.g. General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DNB in the corresponding surgical specialty.
- Additional fellowship or super-specialty qualifications (such as MCh or specialized fellowships) may be required for advanced surgical fields.
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
