Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations, drive business growth, and manage channel partners within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, developing customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team to maximize revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets.
- Manage and grow business through distributors, dealers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage within the assigned area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and monitor the performance of sales executives and field staff.
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and periodic performance reports.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy customer credit management.
- Conduct regular market visits to strengthen customer engagement and business development.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of sales experience, with at least 5-6 years in a supervisory or area management role.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in channel sales, distributor management, and business development.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
