Job Summary:
Le Marche is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Commis Chefs to join our Live kitchen team. The role involves assisting in the preparation and presentation of gourmet dishes, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Knowledge of Garde Manger (cold kitchen – salads, starters, sandwiches, and cold platters) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking in the Live Kitchen under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Prepare and present cold kitchen items (salads, dressings, canapés, cold cuts, sandwiches, and platters) as per menu standards.
- Ensure mise en place (ingredients, sauces, garnishes) is ready for smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality in compliance with FSSAI norms.
- Support menu innovation and presentation for gourmet customers.
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely preparation and service.
- Monitor stock for ingredients and report shortfalls to the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate/Diploma in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management.
- 1–3 years of experience as a Commis Chef in hospitality, retail F&B, or gourmet kitchens.
- Knowledge of Garde Manger techniques and Live Kitchen operations.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
