What we are looking for:
- Strong understanding of the Foodservice industry and key business issues relevant to the
- selected research domain.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and working with generative AI tools.
- Hands-on experience using AI systems (e.g., Claude).
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience required, including at least 8 years in research/consulting within the relevant industry and 3+ years of client management/engagement.
- Proven capability in data modelling and managing/analysing large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong, well-rounded analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, project planning, and progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-impact market intelligence: Lead the development of robust, data-driven market intelligence for the CPG/Foodservice/Consumer sector, producing high-quality datasets and insight-led reports. Formulate and validate hypotheses that challenge existing market assumptions, identify the right data inputs, build models, and translate findings into actionable client insights (beyond descriptive analysis).
Data modelling & advanced analytics: Own analytical frameworks, forecasting approaches, and large dataset handling. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of outputs through strong Excel-based analysis and advanced presentation storytelling.
Team leadership & capability building: Manage and mentor a team of Research Analysts, ensuring timely delivery of data and reports. Train the team on market sizing, forecasting, analytical thinking, and effective data visualization, set performance expectations and continuously improve quality standards.
Build domain expertise & track industry trends: Develop deep expertise in the consumer/CPG landscape, including key business and industry issues. Track emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments to provide timely, well-informed perspectives and point-of-view updates.
Client engagement & consulting support: Build and manage client relationships through strong client-handling and consulting skills. Understand client objectives, respond quickly with high-value analyst support, and partner with internal Sales/Marketing to strengthen credibility and enable growth
Communication excellence: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication— creating concise, insight-rich deliverables and presenting findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
AI-enabled research and efficiency: Apply prompt engineering and leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate research workflows, improve synthesis, and enhance insight generation while maintaining analytical rigor.
Strategic contribution & product development: Contribute to team planning and strategy discussions, helping shape new data-driven analytical products and client-centric solutions aligned with market needs.
Project & stakeholder management: Ensure strong planning, tracking, and time management across multiple deliverables; coordinate priorities, manage timelines, and maintain quality and responsiveness across projects.
