Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Performance
- Monitor daily sales performance, conversion rates, and average bill value.
- Drive upselling, cross-selling, and promotional sales initiatives.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets assigned to the branch.
Branch Operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Manage inventory levels, stock movement, and replenishment.
- Oversee cash handling, billing accuracy, banking, and daily closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, audit requirements, and statutory norms.
Team Management & Training
- Supervise, motivate, and guide branch staff to achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and discipline management in coordination with HR.
Customer Experience
- Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat footfall.
- Maintain store hygiene, visual merchandising, and service standards.
Marketing & Local Promotions
- Implement company and local marketing campaigns at the branch level.
- Support book launches, promotional events, and seasonal sales.
- Build local partnerships with schools, institutions, and corporate clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline; preference for Commerce or Management.
- 3–5 years of experience in branch or store management within retail.
- Experience in book retail, digital retail, or consumer retail preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Basic financial knowledge including cash handling and stock control.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
